Many of us enjoy gardening and keeping a well-planted space can be very rewarding work. However, it is also time consuming and if left too long, your outdoor space can quickly become untidy and suffer from neglect - this is where we come in!
Covering all areas in Hampshire such as Petersfield and New Alresford - we can work with you to design, build and plant your ideal landscape. Alternatively, our maintenance team can be scheduled in as a one-off clearance job or on a regular basis to keep on top of those garden chores.

Soft Landscaping
Will, the founder of BGS, is an experienced horticultural gardener. As per our philosophy he is extremely passionate about wildflowers and plants.
You can be assured by the fact that the skilled team at BGS will only work with quality plants specifically chosen for the location of the bed; taking into consideration positioning, soil type and space to grow in order for them thrive for years to come - especially if you arrange a regular maintenance schedule with us.
If you’d like to give your garden an uplift, replacing an old lawn can be a fantastic way to do so. We only use premium grade turf from local suppliers we trust and do so at an affordable rate. Adding a hedge can be a fantastic way to not only add interest into a garden but also create a physical screen/boundary from neighbouring properties. The team at BGS can advise on which hedge type is best suited for your location and needs.
General Maintenance
Whether a one-off or regular arrangement, the team at BGS enjoy stepping in and doing the work to ensure your garden is looking cared for and in tip-top shape, regardless of the season.
Examples include mowing your lawn regularly, maintaining flower beds, leaf blowing, pruning and shaping of shrubs and hedges to prevent them from encroaching on your space.
To prevent your garden from becoming unkempt and overgrown, we can set up a schedule with you so that we stay on top of those gardening chores. We are happy to either work from a list of things you would like prioritised or to use our expertise and initiative to carry out the jobs that we can see need undertaking.
Hard Landscaping
Concreate, natural stone, porcelain? Name your style and Will and the team at BGS can lay it. We understand that patios can be quite the investment for homeowners, so we will be on hand to discuss options and provide our expert opinion to ensure you choose a patio that lasts years to come.
From bespoke close-board fencing to concrete posts and lap-panels, Will and the team are able to install all types of fencing, taking care to ensure all of the details are taken care of to leave you with a perfect new fence.
Will, his landscaping team and trusted subcontractors can undertake projects of all sizes, from simple sleeper beds to renovating gardens from scratch. We can either follow pre-made garden plans or help with our professional eye to advise on different options you could undertake to leave you with a garden to be proud of.
Biodiversity
At the very heart of BGS is the initiative to support biodiversity.
If you have an area of the garden that you are unsure on what to do with – Wildflower turf can be a great solution. Not only is it fantastic for increasing biodiversity, but it also attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies. This is a low maintenance solution, requiring only one-two cuts per year!

Did you know that wildflowers and grasses help to catch both water & air pollution? They capture CO2 more efficiently than trees and store it into the soil. There are multiple choices of wildflower products with pre-made turf options: Landscape 34 Turf, Species Rich Lawn Turf, Shade Tolerant, SuDS, Native Enriched, Low Grow and Wildflower Roof Turf.

If the job is undertaken in the Autumn, additional interest and variety can be added by spreading a crate of specially selected bulbs underneath the turf. Another way in which we can create a wildflower area is to spread premixed seed and topsoil called Meadowscape.

Bespoke turf and Meadowscape can be created and installed upon request.
